Check your documents before entering Korea

Entry eligibility and an arrival declaration are different checks. Use official guidance for your circumstances and prepare your accommodation and flight details.

What should you do with your bags?

Steps

  1. 01

In Visa Navigator, select your passport’s Country/Region, Purpose of Entry and Length of Stay. If the page is Korean, use ENGLISH at the top and reopen the same search. Read the resulting visa category and application process; check K-ETA and e-Arrival Card eligibility separately in their official pages. If your existing visa conditions or the result are unclear, use the 1345 procedure below.

  2. 02

Check the official e-Arrival Card guidance for who must submit, exemptions and timing. K-ETA and the arrival declaration are separate systems; completing one does not mean every requirement is complete.

  3. 03

Keep the accommodation’s Korean address, telephone number, booking confirmation and onward flight details. If your stay details change after submission, check the official correction procedure.

Before you start

  • List passport nationality, visit purpose, stay length, travel dates and transit countries. Check passport-validity requirements too.

Easy points to confuse

  • A completed checklist is your own record, not visa approval or permission to enter. Enter passport details only through official application channels.

Practical example

If entry eligibility is unclear, give 1345 your nationality, purpose, stay length and travel dates. Call 1345 within Korea or +82-2-6908-1345 overseas, weekdays 09:00–22:00 Korea time (UTC+9). After 18:00, only Korean, English and Chinese counselling is available. In the voice menu, 0 connects an adviser; select the announced language number and *. If a visa must be issued, follow the relevant Korean consulate’s process.
