PRIVACY
Your trip stays yours.
GoSeeKorea works without an account. Signing in is optional and only adds cloud sync, recovery, and sharing features.
Saved arrival preparation
Optional. Saves arrival details and the address you enter in this browser only, outside your account and shared links. Delete after use on a shared device.
Data stored in your browser
Trip names, dates, saved places, order, and notes are stored in this browser using IndexedDB. Guest and account trips use separate browser stores. Earlier browser trips move into an account only when you choose to import them. Clearing browser data can remove local trips.
Location for nearby places
Nearby search requests your current location by default and requires browser permission. Coordinates are used in your browser to calculate distances. They are kept temporarily only in this tab’s sessionStorage to restore the list when you return from place details. Results are restored only for locations checked within the last two hours. Coordinates are not added to URLs, your account or analytics. You can choose an area or place manually without location permission. External maps and booking sites apply their own privacy policies.
Data stored after Google sign-in
We receive your Google account identifier, verified email address, display name, and profile image. We also store the travel plans you choose to sync. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts, or your Google password.
Why we use it
Account data identifies your private plans, restores them on signed-in devices, maintains a secure session, and supports links you explicitly share. It is not used to alter organic rankings. We count course saves, card creation, export requests, sharing and affiliate clicks by language and Korean date for 60 days. No names, emails, trip content, destination URLs, account identifiers or new cookies are sent. Do Not Track is respected. Arrival channels are limited to direct, hostel QR and social. Only this category is kept temporarily in the current tab's sessionStorage.
Sharing and service providers
Google provides authentication. Cloudflare Pages Functions and D1 process and store account and synchronized trip data. A private trip is disclosed to another person only when you create and send a read-only share link.
Your controls
You can sign out, delete your account and its browser and cloud trips, revoke a share, export a local plan, or clear browser data. Export trips you want to keep before deleting the account; guest and older unassigned browser trips remain separately.
Retention and security
Sessions expire, share links expire, and account deletion removes account-linked cloud records. Sessions use secure HttpOnly cookies and server-side token hashes. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Today’s travel card
Shares up to 20 public catalog places and this date. Private notes, custom places and your return destination are excluded. Anyone with the link can view it. Public day links do not expire and cannot be revoked. Visiting a place page may later show updated public information. This offline file includes the visible notes and return address. Keep it on your device.
