Steps

  1. 01

Search the operating flight number and Korean date in the departures action for T1/T2. Save the separate check-in, bag-drop and boarding deadlines from your airline reservation. For rentals, save return desk, hours and order number from the original confirmation and return to that seller. If unclear, use the order’s support with order number and departure terminal.

  2. 02

Set a leave time using current transport duration plus disruption margin.

  3. 03

Pack documents, medicine, batteries, and valuables in the correct baggage.

  4. 04

Return rented Wi-Fi, SIM devices, or other items at the stated location.

  5. 05

Complete required customs or tax-refund validation before bag drop when instructed.

  6. 06

Pass security and immigration, then verify the gate and boarding time again.

Before you start

  • Confirm airport, terminal, flight number, and departure date.
  • Check baggage allowance and prohibited items.
  • Gather passport, boarding documents, tax-refund papers, and rental items.

Easy points to confuse

  • For batteries, check whether installed or spare and the Wh rating. Use the airport restrictions and operating airline to confirm cabin versus checked carriage, quantity and approval. Bring manufacturer details if the rating is unclear.
  • Check liquids, gels and duty-free goods against departure and transit security rules. For medicines, prepare ingredient names and prescriptions and check destination import rules; for food, check destination customs and quarantine. Airline baggage allowance is separate from import permission.

Easy points to confuse

  • Going to the wrong terminal
  • Packing an inspection item in checked baggage too early
  • Forgetting a rented device or deposit return

Practical example

Example: for a 14:00 Terminal 2 departure, work backward from check-in close, security, and terminal travel—not from 14:00 arrival at the airport. Add tax-refund and rental-return time. If delayed, check in online and notify airline staff immediately.
