In KORAIL’s visitor booking page, enter departure station, arrival station, date and passengers. After payment, save the ticket with train, car and seat from your reservation. If an error occurs, check the reservation first to avoid paying twice. English help: 1599-7777 within Korea or +82-1599-7777 overseas, 08:00–20:00 Korea time (UTC+9). If online authentication or payment fails, request the same journey at a station ticket counter.

Select the train and review departure station and time before payment.

Save the ticket offline.

At the station, match the train number and platform display.

Wait near the marked car number.

Board the correct car and use the assigned seat.
Before you start
- Confirm the exact departure and arrival stations.
- Use the passenger name shown on the travel document.
- Allow time to find the platform and car position.
Train sold out or you missed your departure?
- Recheck departure station, date, party size and destination. Compare nearby times and connecting trains in the official search; recalculate travel to any different departure station.
- Do not board another train using a missed-train ticket. Show it at an official desk and ask about changes, refunds and whether you need a new ticket.
- If trains do not work, compare express or intercity buses, checking both terminals. Do not book the next activity assuming a seat or standing ticket is secured until confirmed.

Practical example
Example: a 09:00 train to Busan may depart from Gwangmyeong rather than Seoul Station. Read the departure station, train number, car, and seat from the ticket before travel. At the wrong station, show the ticket at the counter instead of boarding another train.
