Prepare for late arrival and self check-in

After choosing an area, confirm how you will enter your accommodation. Hours, contact methods and baggage storage vary by property.

Steps

  1. 01

Confirm the reservation, check-in/out times, late-arrival cutoff, deposit, extra fees and cancellation deadline. Check which time zone the deadline uses.

  2. 02

For a late arrival, send your expected time and obtain confirmation that check-in is possible. For self check-in, confirm building and room access, when instructions arrive and the on-site support contact.

  3. 03

Ask about storage before check-in and after checkout: hours, fees and collection deadline. If unavailable, arrange a locker or another option; keep passports, medicine and valuables with you.

Before you start

  • Save the booking number, guest name, Korean address and property contact. These are questions to ask; your property’s actual terms take priority.

Easy points to confuse

  • A card authorization alone does not confirm a booking. Never put access codes or ID copies in public trip links or notes.

Practical example

Open the original booking email or reservation details and find the property contact or message button. Send booking reference, guest name, stay dates and current ETA; obtain entry instructions in reply. If locked out or the booking is missing, use that reservation → Help on the booking platform with the same details and a situation photo. For Trip.com bookings use that Trip.com order; for another platform use that platform. Never put access codes or passport photos in public trip links.
